It's been some time since my last post. Not sure if anyone is following anymore. After spending 3 weeks in Kaz and deciding the older child and I weren't a fit, they were able to find a baby for me to adopt. I had to sit and wait in the apartment for a week but they were able to get the proper paper work done and then I was able to go visit Todd.
When I first saw him he was 8 months old. A happy baby who loves everyone. After spending the required time visiting him I finally had my court date on November 13, 2006. This region is special, special baby house, so I was able to get an immidiate decree and picked Todd up on November 14, 2006.
I spent two more weeks in Kaz. We were there for Thanksgiving but our coordinator there arranged for a Thanksgiving dinner at the American Bar and Grill cafe. It wasn't our home cooked meal but it was really good.
We arrived home on November 28, 2006 and Todd fit right in. He acted like he had been around everyone his entire life and just took things in. He's still a happy baby. Entertains himself but knows how to get your attention. He is now 10 months old and not far behind an American born and raised 10 month old.

Hi -
We wanted to let you know that my friend Stacy and I are starting a orphan ministry for the children in Kaz. We have been home with our Kaz cuties since this summer but our hearts still ache for the children left behind. Our first big project is a Kaz Cookbook. We are asking all Kaz adoptive families to donate 1-3 of their favorite family recipes to be published with all the proceeds going to charity. If you would like to donate a recipe and for more information please visit www.hopeforkazakhorphans.blogspot.com.
We hope to hear from you.
Thanks,
~Kim and Stacy
